I'll be the first one to admit it, I'm a ramen burger groupie. From its debut at Smorgasburg in Brooklyn, to its San Jose cameo at Mitsuwa Market, to its physical outpost in LA (!!!) I've been lucky enough to traverse the nation in hot pursuit of this delicious burger. What a warm puppy or ice cream is to most is what a ramen burger is to me. Simply put, ramen burgers give me a ridiculous amount of joy. LA is only a short flight away from SF, so you bet I'll be making pit stops at The Original Ramen Burger whenever I make the trip. The shop itself is nestled off a busy intersection to the side of a strip mall plaza and if you don't know to look for it you'd easily miss it. It exists as a walk up window with two stools at the ordering counter to serve as seats while you eat.
In addition to 'The Original' you can order spicy, veggie, and special (the special du jour was fried chicken). Toppings include: cheese, crispy bacon, and a fried egg. Choose among miso garlic, miso cheese, or miso seaweed for fries.
It's a delicious little outpost that's easily missed if you don't know what you're looking for. Will definitely be hitting it up every. damn. time. I'm in LA.
